North Andaman Network Foundation
Based in Thailand, the NAN foundation works in cooperation with communities along the North Andaman Coast of Ranong and Phang Nga provinces.
NAN is a collective of committed locals, activists, and development experts with over a decade of grassroots experience including tsunami relief, conservation, community based tourism, education, and human rights.
By empowering partners who understand global issues and their impacts on local communities, NAN inspires a sense of confidence and preparedness in how to adapt to changing climates.
NAN’s projects are developed with the community to encourage new ideas and inspire positive and sustainable change.
The focus of our work spans from education and training to cultural and environmental conservation. The communities that NAN serves are under threat from changing natural, social and economic environments.
North Andaman Network is a not for profit foundation registered in Thailand, working in close collaboration with Global Purpose Group since the Indian Ocean Tsunami in 2004.
Andaman Discoveries
In 2014, Andaman Discoveries helped to launch the North Andaman Network Foundation (NAN). Together they support communities in creating and implementing sustainable projects that help to develop their ability to adapt to changing environments.
When you travel with Andaman Discoveries, you are directly supporting the causes of the North Andaman Network Foundation.
The award-winning tourism social enterprise donates 50% of its annual profit to support NAN’s activities. As we are an all-volunteer foundation, there is no salary cost and Andaman Discovery staff give their time and energy for free in order to work towards the success of NAN.
See how your next holiday can make a difference!
